The role of System Accounting Specialist at William Adams offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join the Finance team in Clayton. As our Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial systems, ensuring seamless interactions between key system interfaces and reporting systems.

About the Role:

  • Manage and maintain the financial systems, including all key system interfaces and reporting systems
  • Pursue ongoing projects focused on routine upgrades, maintenance, automation, process improvement, and streamlining the financial process
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital team to ensure the stability of the financial system
  • Provide functional support and training to end-users
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis from various business units
  • Address and resolve finance systems issues and queries

About You:

You possess a strong background in systems accounting and have served as the primary contact for finance systems in a previous organization. Your exceptional technical accounting skills and genuine passion for system management are essential qualities for success in this role.

A self-motivated individual who thrives in collaborative environments, you enjoy delivering exceptional customer support and training to end-users. Your ability to continuously learn and adapt is highly valued.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in systems accounting
  • CPA/CA qualification with a strong systems and technical background
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP (or ERP equivalent)
  • Cognos Analytics or equivalent experience
  • Ability to analyze data patterns and identify trends
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
  • SQL knowledge is advantageous
