We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Participant Advisory Committee as a volunteer. This committee plays a vital role in guiding the development and implementation of services and community initiatives at Activated Concepts.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide expert and impartial advice to support the delivery of high-quality services that cater to the needs of people with lived experience of trauma and/or disability.

This involves working closely with senior management to ensure that the organization stays true to its mission and vision. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all individuals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing input to policy development, review, and strategic planning
  • Advising on issues affecting participants in the local community and identifying areas where support or services are required
  • Helping to make Activated Concepts more accessible and responsive to the needs of its clients
  • Identifying and addressing issues relevant to people with disabilities and those who have experienced trauma
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have either:

  • Lived experience of disability or trauma
  • Be a carer of a person with a disability and reside in the Hunter New England Area

In addition, applicants must be aligned with our values and committed to contributing to an inclusive and supportive community.
