Participant Advisory Committee is a group of passionate volunteers which provide expert and impartial advice to the development and implementation of services and community initiatives at Activated Concepts. The Participant Advisory Committee will meet quarterly with senior managers at Activated Concepts to ensure that the organisation continually strives for 'understanding', 'wellbeing', 'respect' and 'excellence'.

**Key Duties**:
As a volunteer on the Participant Advisory Committee you will provide expert and impartial advice to the development and implementation of services and community initiatives at Activated Concepts.

The Participant Advisory Committee will meet quarterly with senior management at Activated Concepts to ensure that the organisation continually works with people with a lived experience of trauma and/or disability to work toward its mission and vision.

**The Participant Advisory Committee will use the following strategy to achieve this objective.**
- Provide input to policy development, review, and strategic planning.
- Advise on issues that participants face in the local community and information on areas where participants require support or services.
- Provide information on how Activated Concepts can become more accessible and responsive
- Advise on how to identify issues that are relevant to people with a disability.
- Advise on how to identify issues that are relevant to people with a lived experience of trauma

**About You**:
**Essential Criteria**

Applicants must outline that they;
- Have lived experience of disability or trauma or;
- Are a Carer of a Person with a Disability and;
- Live in the Hunter New England Area and;
- Be aligned with Activated Concepts values.
