About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Ability Action Australia. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualised support plans to meet the unique needs of our clients
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and carers to identify and achieve goals
  • Develop and implement evidence-based support strategies to promote positive behaviour and outcomes
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of support plans
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and carers on behaviour support and strategies
Requirements
  • 6 months experience in Behaviour Support in an NDIS setting
  • Current suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at the CORE level
  • Completed a degree-level qualification as an allied health professional
  • Membership/registration with a relevant professional body
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
