Position Overview
This permanent full-time position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience within our esteemed Transport team while pursuing a degree to become a Civil Designer.
As part of our team, you will contribute to the engineering design and documentation for significant infrastructure projects across various regions. You will enhance your design skills through hands-on experience with projects involving roads, bridges, water systems, and renewable energy for prominent clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of drafters/designers to create models, drawings, and documentation using leading industry software from providers like Autodesk and Bentley.
- Perform quantity calculations to develop bills of quantities.
- Assist in organizing and managing design documentation files.
- Engage with a skilled multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals.
- Work full-time in a permanent capacity.
- Pursue an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering through the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) on a part-time basis, with financial support from AECOM.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the enrollment criteria for the Associate Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Southern Queensland.
AECOM's Townsville office is one of seven locations in Queensland, staffed by 80 dedicated professionals providing engineering and project delivery services across various disciplines including Transport, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, Geotechnical, Water, and Project Management.
Eligibility Requirements
Successful candidates will need to fulfill the enrollment requirements for the Associate Degree in Civil Engineering through the University of Southern Queensland. Opportunities for work experience may be available to help candidates gain a deeper understanding of the role prior to commencement.
