Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage patient accounts, ensure timely and accurate billing, and provide excellent customer service.

This role is ideal for an individual with experience in medical accounts processing, clinical administration systems, and MS Office.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, communicate treatment fee structures, and manage debtors in line with our policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient accounts across multiple disciplines, including creation and issue of estimates, generation of invoices, receipting, and debt collection.
  • Effectively communicate treatment fee structures and attend to patient account enquiries in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Provide support to clinicians by ensuring patients are fully informed of the billing system and relevant funding mechanisms.
  • Ensure effective management of debtors in line with our Debtors Management policy and procedure.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, exchanging information and assisting other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Medical accounts processing skills, including knowledge of Medicare, DVA, and private health funds.
  • Demonstrated ability in using clinical administration systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • A flexible and motivated individual with strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to provide excellent customer service in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external business stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proven experience working effectively both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
