The role of Technical Innovation Leader involves evaluating a project's business needs and determining how technology can support those needs by leveraging software, hardware, or infrastructure.
- Contribute to the creation of Corporate Technology's IT strategy.
- Align the IT strategy with the organisation's goals for the next 3 years.
- Translate business, functional and non-functional requirements into solution designs and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Provide guidance and direction for implementing best practices in technical innovation.
- Identify potential solution options, enhancements, and recommendations.
- Define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their objectives.
- Considerable knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of software and infrastructure solutions across a large environment.
- Strong ability to identify opportunities and inefficiencies in IT infrastructure.
- Experience in infrastructure and network solution design.
- Knowledge of the challenges of remote sites, specifically remote mining sites.
- Experience designing, migrating and implementing cloud-based solutions with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong background in enterprise solution architecture, with experience in finance and HR business processes and technologies.
- Safety-first mindset.
- Familiarity with technical innovation frameworks is a plus but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in the resources sector is highly regarded but not essential.
- Experience implementing and use of Infrastructure as a Service (AWS) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Commitment to best practices in technical innovation.
