Technical Data Manager Role

The purpose of this position is to ensure technical data management needs are represented in the enterprise and provide assurance of technical integrity supporting informed asset management and business decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the Technical Data Management Plan;
  • Integrity and configuration management of technical data;
  • Managing technical data access, security, intellectual property and export control;
  • Distributing incoming data to appropriate engineers and technicians;
  • Storage and disposal of technical data; and
  • Reviews and internal audits of the Technical Data Management System.

They will obtain a working knowledge of Defence Systems including Naval Logistic Information Systems, centred on the Configuration Management Tool, Asset Management Planning System, and Military Integrated Logistic Information System. Required training will be provided.
