In our pursuit of excellence in defence aviation, we are undertaking a major capability upgrade to the Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS), providing military and civilian air traffic control capabilities across multiple RAAF bases nationwide.

This ambitious project ensures the continued safe and effective management of Australia's defence airspace through the modernisation and enhancement of system capabilities, thereby contributing to the nation's overall defence preparedness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the technical integration of advanced communication systems with existing ADATS infrastructure, coordinating between multiple vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless system functionality.
  • Develop and execute site-specific installation strategies across multiple RAAF bases, minimising operational disruptions during transitions and ensuring business continuity.
  • Participate in system verification and validation activities, including developmental testing and site acceptance testing, to guarantee system integrity and performance.
  • Provide expert technical leadership for the modification and testing of system upgrades and backup capabilities, ensuring alignment with defence standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in communications systems or similar technical fields.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in technical roles, preferably in system integration, technical specification development, and complex system implementations.
