Rotating Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Rotating Engineer to join our team for a minimum 12-month assignment, with potential extension up to 18 months. This role can sit within either the Technical Support Team or the Planning Team, based on the candidate's skillset and preference.

This is a Perth-based position with periodic travel to site, providing a strong platform to further develop your production engineering and planning expertise within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the readiness and executability of rotating maintenance campaigns at Karratha Gas Plant.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead complex modifications to mitigate safety, environmental, and financial risks.
  • Provide engineering support in HAZOP, LOPA, ART forums, and incident investigations.
  • Manage third-party service providers for multi-disciplinary scopes—define scope, monitor budget, conduct assurance reviews, and track schedule.
  • Support frontline engineering teams during leave coverage and turnarounds.
  • Assist planning engineering teams by reviewing strategies, updating procedures, and responding to queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified in Rotating Equipment Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated competency achievement per ENG standard.
  • PSM Knowledge Level Competency achieved or attainable.
  • Solid understanding of risk assessment and Management of Change (MOC).
  • Experience managing technical work scopes across rotating assets.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic operational setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
