Portfolio Facilities Leader

Are you a strategic leader with a proven track record in facilities management?

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Facilities Lead to oversee the facilities management for a high-profile national retail portfolio. This role requires someone who can blend operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong leadership and team management background, with experience in facilities management across commercial or retail portfolios. They will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Operations/Facilities Managers, overseeing national delivery of maintenance, repairs, and building services, and implementing and maintaining HSE systems.

In addition, they will lead procurement activities and manage vendor relationships to drive performance and value, act as the escalation point for tenant and client issues, and deliver high-quality reporting and insights to clients and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Operations/Facilities Managers to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee national delivery of maintenance, repairs, and building services.
  • Implement and maintain HSE systems, conduct audits, manage incident investigations, and oversee contractor safety performance.
  • Lead procurement activities and manage vendor relationships to drive performance and value.
  • Act as the escalation point for tenant and client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting and insights to clients and leadership.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven senior experience in facilities management across commercial or retail portfolios.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in FM, engineering, safety/environmental management or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of HSE systems, contractor management, and capital works.
