Specialist Apprentice Training

This role is an opportunity to develop and deliver a comprehensive onboarding training program for first-year apprentices. As a Specialist Apprentice Training professional, you will be responsible for designing and enhancing the program to ensure it meets the needs of both apprentices and the organization.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Designing and delivering onboarding training programs for first-year apprentices.
  • Mentoring and guiding apprentices through their journey.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to establish yearly apprentice projects that enhance skills and outcomes.
  • Coordinating infield verification of competencies and pastoral care visits for apprentices.
  • Liaising with external authorities and industry partners to promote apprenticeships and improve program effectiveness.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with:

  • Trade certification in a relevant trade (desirable).
  • Previous experience/knowledge of the SA apprenticeships system.
  • Professional training, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in adult learning.
  • Ability to lead and implement change, as well as influence and mentor others in training and safety principles and behaviors.
