Job Title: Onsite Language Specialist

Deliver high-quality language services and accurate translations for key clients, in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and ethics.

About the Role
  • The onsite Language Specialist will deliver accurate, high-quality interpreting and translating services in the relevant community language to ensure that members of the relevant ethnic community have equal access to government and non-government services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver onsite and telephone interpreting at our office and translate a variety of documents, five days a week.
  • Manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment, communicate sensitively with diverse customers to facilitate communication, and stay up to date with industry developments to maintain compliance with current standards and codes of ethics.
Requirements
  • NAATI Certified Interpreter and Translator, in both directions, holding all of the following certifications:
    • Certified Interpreter or higher in Arabic, Mandarin or Vietnamese
    • Certified Translator Arabic, Chinese or Vietnamese into English
    • Certified Translator English into Arabic, Chinese or Vietnamese
  • Over five years' experience in interpreting and translation
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks and work to a flexible schedule at our office or attend onsite assignments as needed
