Water/Wastewater Design Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater Design Specialist to join our team. This individual will support engineers and designers on projects of increasing complexity, focusing on Wastewater Treatment Plants/Facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of computer design software and be able to produce detailed drawings using MicroStation/Geopak, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or ArcGIS. They should also have a strong understanding of drawing elements, including surfaces, corridors, and utility alignments.
Responsibilities:- Support engineers and designers on projects of increasing complexity
- Produce detailed drawings using computer design software
- Develop site layouts, dimension control plans, redline cleanup, detail sheet setup, plotting, and exhibits
- Lay out and scale the components of each drawing
- Complete assigned basic drafting work and print production of plan set
- Provide time estimates required to complete tasks
- Maintain file management of CAD files and other documents
- Recommend best practices and process improvements
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus more than 5 years of related experience and/or training
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in design software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
