As a Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Planning Graduate, you will play a crucial role in designing the future of engineering.

You will be involved in project planning and design, conducting site assessments, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking various technical tasks such as data collection and analysis, hydraulic modeling, GIS mapping, design drawings, engineering calculations, and reporting to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

  • Project Planning and Design:

You will participate in the planning phase of projects including feasibility studies, hydraulic capacity assessments, infrastructure augmentation optioneering, and long-term strategic planning for water and wastewater systems.

You will also support the design of water infrastructure such as pipelines, tanks, pump stations, and treatment plants.

  • Site Assessments:

You will conduct site visits to gather data and assess project feasibility/constraints.

You will analyze environmental, geological, cultural heritage, and survey data to inform project planning.

  • Technical Documentation:

You will prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project approvals.

You will ensure project documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

You will assist in the preparation of tender submissions.

  • Collaboration with other Disciplines:

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, environmental, structural, geotechnical, and process.

You will communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

You will support senior engineers in client meetings and presentations.

  • Professional Development:

You will stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

You will participate in training programs and professional development opportunities.

You will seek mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers within the business.

You will represent Stantec and engage with industry bodies such as the Australian Water Association.
