The Centre of Expertise for Site Reliability Engineering supports the organization's strategy by enabling SRE capabilities towards continuous focus on system health, reliability, availability, capacity, performance, continuity, and management of IT services.

This role plays a critical part in managing and maintaining observability technology infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will oversee the operation and performance of our observability platforms to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our current and future observability platforms, ensuring 24/7 availability and reliability.
  2. Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, resolution tracking, and post-incident reviews.
  3. Develop, track, and report on Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the observability platforms.
  4. Mentor and lead a team of platform operations DevOps/Engineers.
  5. Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices, maintain platform security, and address vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience running a small operations function within a broader technology organization.
  • Good working knowledge of Container Technologies (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
  • Good working knowledge of virtualization technologies (VM Ware environments).
  • Good working knowledge of Azure Cloud technologies (AzureDevops, Azure Cloud etc).
  • Experience in one or more scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, BASH).
