At this stage of your career, we have an exciting opportunity for a Hydrogeologist to join our Water Resources Team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Be involved in designing and executing fieldwork programs including drilling supervision and geotechnical logging, soil testing and sampling, groundwater monitoring and sampling, and groundwater well installation and hydraulic testing.
  • Critical analysis and assessment of groundwater and geological related data;
  • Geospatial and 3D analysis – including GIS and Leapfrog (3D modelling);
  • Conceptual assessment of groundwater flow, fate and transport;
  • Quantitative groundwater assessments of flow, fate and transport using analytical as well as 2D and 3D numerical modelling tools – SEEPW, HYDRUS, MODFLOW, GoldSim;
  • Preparing informative and interpretive maps, tables, and figures;
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Training: This position requires health and safety, first aid and other on-the-job training. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in geology/earth science/geochemistry/hydrology or engineering or related field of study;
  • Post graduate MSc or similar in hydrogeology;
  • At least 2 years of direct consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting deadlines and budgets, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
