Real Estate Credit Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Sydney-based investment team in a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for the end-to-end execution, structuring, and management of complex credit transactions across a diverse portfolio.

This position offers exposure to sophisticated real estate transactions, institutional capital partners, and complex credit structures. The successful candidate will lead deal execution, play a key leadership role in developing and mentoring a high-performing team, and contribute directly to our continued growth and investment success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute structured credit investments from inception to completion.
  • Mentor a team across financial modelling, credit analysis, and investment committee paper preparation.
  • Negotiate investment terms, ensuring alignment with internal approvals and market best practice.
  • Present investment proposals to the Investment Committee and manage transaction execution through to drawdown.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including business plan delivery, covenant compliance, and asset-specific risk management.
Candidate Requirements
  • 5–10 years' experience in real estate credit, structured finance, investment banking, private equity, corporate banking or advisory.
  • A proven track record in executing real estate investments, ideally involving construction finance.
  • A strong understanding of construction risks, legal documentation, and structuring complexities.
  • Exposure to real estate taxation principles and how they impact credit decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills – capable of influencing internal committees and external counterparties.
