The Procurement Specialist oversees the management of sourcing and purchasing activity across the organisation with established processes to provide efficient access to goods and services required for delivering high-quality care.
The role is responsible for managing purchase orders associated with both medical and indirect consumable categories, performing manual tasks including acceptance, packing, and delivery of goods across the site, liaising with suppliers as required to ensure orders are delivered in full and on time, analysing data for special reporting as required by management, reconciling invoices, managing variances, discrepancies, returns, and credits.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure goods and services efficiently
- Manage purchase orders and negotiate with suppliers
- Perform manual tasks such as acceptance, packing, and delivery of goods
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve any issues
- Analyse data for reporting purposes
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in utilising purchasing software
