About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a Multi-Purpose Health Service with an enthusiastic management team to deliver emergency and acute care to The Woorabinda Community.

  • Accountability for safe patient-focused care and sound financial management of the Acute Care Unit.
  • Promote innovation and change through constant improvement to increase staff satisfaction and patient safety.
  • Safe rostering, absenteeism management, and effective recruitment strategies while developing your team.
  • Promote team stability through the ability to communicate with peers, team, and develop a cohesive acute care team.
  • Contribute to the Management on-call roster on a 1:4 rota.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care by promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Acute Care Unit, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and open communication.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve staff satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
About You

We are looking for an experienced and registered nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A current annual practising certificate.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in acute care, health management, and indigenous health are highly desirable.
