Risk Assessment Specialist

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our organization as a Credit Analyst. The role involves playing a key part in the assessment and processing of mortgage applications.
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, assessing, and submitting consumer and business loan applications in line with internal policies.
- Oversee scenarios and workshop deals in collaboration with the Credit Manager and other senior stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, sales teams, and internal departments.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in credit analysis or underwriting, ideally within mortgage, finance, or banking sectors.
- Exposure to non-conforming lending will be highly regarded.
- Solid understanding of mortgage lending and complex financial structures, including companies and trusts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience holding a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) will be highly desirable.
