Job Overview

As a healthcare professional in a remote or challenging setting, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver primary and emergency health care services, including advanced life support and trauma management.
  • Conduct daily medical clinics, manage work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, and facilitate return-to-work planning.
  • Liaise with internal and external healthcare providers for medevacs and specialist referrals.
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing, health surveillance, and facilitate health assessments such as audiometry and spirometry.
  • Develop and implement health-related training programs, including First Aid, CPR, Injury Management, and occupational health awareness.
  • Maintain medical facilities and equipment to a high standard, ensuring alignment with clinical governance protocols.
  • Promote workplace health initiatives and deliver training sessions aligned with the Healthier Santos strategy.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and environmental requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) and CPR Certification.
  • Trauma Qualification (e.g., PHTLS or TNCC).
  • Current certification in Drug and Alcohol Testing (HLTPAT005 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in remote or resource sector health service delivery is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage in multidisciplinary team settings.
