Senior Healthcare Leadership Position
This is a senior management role available to join the Inpatient team at Peninsula Private Hospital as the Assistant Director of Clinical Services.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Clinical Services and work closely with the ADCS - Perioperative and Surgical Services to form part of the senior leadership team.
The Inpatient areas include:
- Emergency Department
- Intensive Care Unit
- Cardiac Services Unit
- Day Oncology and Infusion Centre
- Inpatient Oncology Ward
- Inpatient Medical Wards
- Inpatient Surgical Wards
- Obstetric Ward
- Special Care Nursery
As the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting growth and business development, responding to the needs identified by the Executive team
- Overseeing care delivery and coordinating the activities of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Planning and maintaining hospital policies in consultation with other executive team members
- Measuring workplace culture and implementing actions to maintain a positive workplace culture
- Managing Human Resources to ensure future workforce requirements are known and strategies are implemented
- Clinical Governance and Risk Management: Incorporating risk minimisation and continuous improvement within our Clinical Governance and Risk Management Framework
- Leading initiatives to monitor, evaluate and enhance consumer satisfaction and engagement ensuring patient centred care and continuous service improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working at a management level
- Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a team providing strong strategic and operational direction and positive leadership
- Undertake reporting and policy development and review
- Experience in quality and risk management frameworks and clinical governance principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Ability to manage complex, challenging and demanding daily operational issues
