The Role: Human Resources Manager
Job DescriptionLithgow City Council is seeking a Part Time Human Resources Manager to join their team. As the successful candidate, you will lead a team and deliver best practice advice to staff, ensuring compliance with Council's Human Resources function.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide strategic HR guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and employees regarding HR matters
- Ensure compliance with industrial laws, awards, and related requirements
- Lead Change Management Projects and coordinate staff recruitment and selection
- Administer the Council salary system, advise on Payroll Systems, and manage workers compensation claims
- Monitor Anti-Discrimination and Employment Legislation, manage HRIS, and coordinate staff training
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field
- Relevant work-related experience in a human resource environment
- Experience in providing high-level human resources advice, leading teams, and managing change initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently, and demonstrate initiative
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Programs, HRIS Systems, employment legislation, and commitment to Work Health and Safety procedures
