The role we are looking to fill involves conducting grounds maintenance in the greater Canberra area. This is a casual, ongoing position that requires you to work 4 days per week, 9 hours a day - typically starting between 6am and 7am.

As a grounds maintenance worker, your tasks will include lawn mowing, general laboring, whipper snipping, leaf blowing, clearing drains, basic weed control, and gardening. You must be able to operate all equipment and machinery safely and professionally, and respond promptly to supervisors' instructions.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must be physically fit and willing to work hard. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has an eye for detail. While previous experience in grounds maintenance is not necessary, it is preferred. You should be able to work well in a team, share workload effectively, and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.

You will also need to possess a white card and asbestos awareness card, as these are essential qualifications for this role. In addition, you should be reliable, punctual, and proactive in providing quality and safe grounds maintenance activities.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $35, onsite training, a minimum of 34 hours per week, and provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
