Job Title: Systems Infrastructure Analyst

Description:

The Systems Analyst will work with all IT staff on the delivery and support of systems to ensure optimal operations of the business. They will also assist in the delivery of new business initiatives and work closely with all other departments to ensure operational requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Log incidents, troubleshoot, report, and provide updates to system owners and end users on current issues.
  • Liaise with vendors and business owners on the installation of patches, bug fixes, and version upgrades.
  • Provide feedback and strive for improvements in all aspects of the infrastructure environment.
  • Participate in the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans for all systems.
  • Ensure backups and recovery processes are in place and current for all systems.
  • Review and update system documentation in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Ensure all technologies are covered by Vendors' Support and/or Warranty Agreements.
  • Ensure all technologies are maintained at the required software release, firmware, and operating system levels to maintain full vendor support.
  • Maintain Life Cycle management records for software, hardware, and operating systems.
  • Maintain Service Catalogue.
  • Maintain Configuration Management (CMDB) information.
  • Certificates.
  • Telecommunication links.
  • CIS L1 Benchmark across all hardware and participate in yearly Audits in PCI, CIS, and other essential IT audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Operational experience in a 24x7, transaction processing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with management on current issues or other matters of importance.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and update technical documentation.
  • Analytical and investigative skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Working knowledge of Networking and Storage technologies.
  • Exposure to but not required: Elasticsearch ELK/Kibana, Shareplex, Business Objects, BIRT, Python, JavaScript, JBoss, Web Services, Quality Centre, Oracle 12c or above, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL.
  • Extensive experience (e.g., 7+ years) in ICT support.
