Medical Lead for Safeguards Team

The role of a Psychiatrist in the Safeguards Team is to provide medical leadership and contribute to the delivery of innovative, collaborative, and best practice time-limited care to children and young people aged 0-17 years experiencing acute mental distress.
Key Responsibilities- You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to build partnerships for seamless provision of care and be actively involved in the evaluation and development of the model of care.
- The Safeguards Team is part of the Child Youth and Family Mental Health stream, providing care to the Blue Mountains and Lithgow region.
- You will participate in a Consultant after-hours roster and may also include work in other parts of the Mental Health Service.
This role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community, including a significant Aboriginal population.
