Children's Home Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to oversee the daily operations of a residential children’s home. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in residential childcare, with a strong focus on providing high-quality care and support to young people.

About the Role:
  • This is a key leadership position that requires a dynamic and motivated individual who can manage day-to-day operations effectively.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of all young people in their care.
  • They will also ensure that individual needs are met, recognize changes in behaviour, and provide a safe environment meeting the needs of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly and efficiently.
  2. Safeguarding and Welfare: Safeguard and promote the welfare and development of all young people, working closely with other professionals to achieve this goal.
  3. Staff Supervision: Undertake supervisions with senior support workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  4. Safeguarding Concerns: Respond to safeguarding concerns and follow established procedures to ensure the well-being of young people.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare.
  • Previous experience in OFSTED-regulated settings would be highly desirable.
  • Holding a Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management or equivalent is essential.
  • A full UK driving licence is required for travel between sites.
  • A clear DBS check is necessary for this role.
