People Operations Specialist

The People Operations team plays a vital role in supporting the broader organization, working closely with various functions including Operations, Talent, and Finance. This role drives the day-to-day activities of the People Operations team and reports to the People Operations Manager.

This position is responsible for improving the overall people experience of approximately 160 employees in four different countries, which is expected to grow to ~200 by the end of 2025. The ideal candidate will own most facets of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to separation, and have the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders while continually improving and streamlining the way the People Operations team operates.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and evolve the global onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Provide guidance and support across the full employee lifecycle, focusing on employee relations and performance management.
  • Develop engaging tools to enable self-help for staff members.
  • Manage staff performance, including probation management and performance cases.
  • Oversee Learning & Development activities, assist with coaching and upskilling, and collate resources.
  • Maintain and leverage the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to streamline and automate people processes.
  • Stay informed about employment legislation and ensure people-related processes comply with changing laws.
  • Assist the People Operations Manager with cyclical activities such as annual and mid-year performance reviews, compensation benchmarking, and employee engagement surveys.
  • Generate people metrics reporting, providing actionable insights for managers.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of progressive People experience.
  • Solid experience with performance management and employee relations.
  • Commercial focus and a proven track record of developing and implementing People programs that support business objectives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Ability to balance staff needs and preferences when shaping solutions.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and a passion for leveraging technology to improve people operations.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working within a startup or scaleup business environment, particularly in the technology sector.
  • Prior experience working with staff in multiple countries.
