Academic Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary Academic Dean to lead our academic team and drive excellence in student wellbeing and performance. Reporting directly to the Head of Secondary School, you will provide strategic oversight of academic administration, compliance, student achievement, and future pathways.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in secondary school education, with a proven track record of leadership in curriculum development and pedagogy. They will be well-versed in compliance requirements, SCSA standards, and academic registration guidelines, and possess strong analytical skills to drive data-driven decision making.

The successful applicant will also demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams. They will be passionate about fostering collaborative programs and guiding students towards personalised academic and career pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership in academic administration, compliance, and student achievement
  • Drive evidence-based approaches to teaching, learning, and student progress
  • Foster collaborative programs with other Colleges and guide course selections
  • Manage transitions and oversee staff and teams, ensuring alignment with SCSA requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience in secondary school education, with demonstrated leadership in curriculum development and pedagogy
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, SCSA standards, and academic registration guidelines
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
