Fleet supervisors are responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of a company's fleet. A high level of management and interpersonal skills is required, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with peers.

A sound knowledge of refrigerated freight handling, service orientation, and linehaul equipment is essential. The successful candidate will be able to maximise opportunities through timely decision making, cost control, innovative thinking, and a commitment to handling all tasks in a conscientious manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to legislation and policies.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, delivering exceptional service standards.
  • Encourage staff engagement and development opportunities, seeking input and suggestions.
  • Identify and report hazards, injuries, and incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Participate in health and safety improvement activities, reviews, audits, and consultations.
  • Lead and direct employees to meet operational targets.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a fleet supervisor or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and meet operational targets.
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures.
