We provide the framework for fair and productive relationships between employers and employees. Our division oversees skills development and training initiatives to support those entering the workforce or re-training to take advantage of emerging employment opportunities.
The MissionThe Workforce Australia Provider Support Division is responsible for the frontline delivery of Australian Government-funded skills and employment programs, as well as place-based strategies that help ensure employers have access to skilled workers.
Our division works closely with policy and program areas and uses its unique position within each state and territory to gather intelligence that informs strategic, evidence-based responses to labour market needs and to advance government priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring employment service providers, drawing evidence-based conclusions, and offering honest, unbiased advice to support quality service monitoring.
- Collecting information from various sources, using experience to identify what matters, and communicating insights clearly and confidently.
- Building strong relationships with team members and stakeholders. Respecting and leveraging expertise of others to support departmental goals, including regional projects.
- Understanding broader factors affecting team objectives. Tracking progress, managing priorities, and finding innovative ways to improve outcomes and solve problems.
- Collaborating with others, valuing diverse perspectives, sharing knowledge, and keeping the team informed. Offering support when needed.
- Recording and sharing local labour market insights. Connecting day-to-day tasks with the mission and contributing ideas to policy and program development.
- Investigating complex issues in service delivery and provider operations. Seeking feedback and escalating matters when necessary.
- Supporting branch activities and demonstrating behaviours that promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Some domestic travel may be required.
