Octopus Energy Group operates as a global energy transition entity, comprising multiple businesses across various countries, all dedicated to enhancing technology to expedite decarbonization for our customers. Valued at $9 billion USD, Octopus Energy is among the fastest-growing private companies in the energy-tech sector.

KrakenFlex serves as a comprehensive platform, optimizing and managing a wide array of DERs, from consumer-owned devices to large-scale renewable energy sources. Currently, KrakenFlex boasts a contracted capacity spanning multiple continents, with a rapid growth rate.

We are seeking an individual to oversee our existing accounts in Australia and cultivate future opportunities in the Oceania region. This role involves close collaboration with the Kraken Tech and KrakenFlex teams to ensure effective account management and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement a customer account management strategy to foster growth.
  • Support a major utility client in its transformation journey.
  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our platform.
  • Contribute insights to the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with all teams to prioritize customer-centric approaches.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape and competitive positioning for KrakenFlex.
  • Act as an ambassador for KrakenFlex.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing large accounts.
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to inspire confidence among senior leadership.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of distilling complex issues into actionable plans.
  • Proven aptitude for line management, including target setting and performance reviews.
  • Effective risk management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
