About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Principal Level P1, leading a renowned institution in the Lake Macquarie region. Our school boasts a diverse student body of 253 students, including 22 Aboriginal students, and has been recognized for its sustained high performance across all areas.
We prioritize evidence-based pedagogies, such as explicit instruction, to drive individual student growth. Our strong focus on high-quality teaching practices and community relationships has led to the establishment of a close-knit community with extremely high parental involvement.
Our students have access to a wide range of extracurricular programs, including Concert Band, Choir, Vocal Ensemble, Dance, Debating, Public Speaking, Environmental and Nature Play, Girls Can Group, Boys Strength program, and various sporting pursuits. We value high expectations, quality community relationships, and high-quality teaching practice.
In addition to the general selection criteria, the ideal candidate will be a highly visible, inspirational, and collaborative leader who builds authentic partnerships with all key stakeholders to create a unified culture of high expectations.

- Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole-school teaching and learning programs.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
- Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning.
- Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning.
- Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
