Senior Governance Advisor

The Murrindindi Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the appointment as Independent Member of Council's CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee.
About the PositionThe selected candidate will participate in all committee meetings, providing impartial and expert advice to the committee. They will also facilitate the development of draft CEO performance criteria and performance review methodology, as well as provide benchmarking and advice on an appropriate remuneration.
Select Criteria- Demonstrated human resource management expertise and leadership skills
- Experience in senior roles in business and/or the public sector
- Experience working with boards or other governance bodies
- A sitting fee per meeting
- Reimbursement of travel costs (where applicable)
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in human resource management, with experience in leading teams and making strategic decisions. They should also have a deep understanding of governance structures and the ability to work effectively in a committee setting.
