
Access and Inclusion Specialist

This is a senior role that will coordinate the Making Rights Reality Program across all SECASA sites to support service provision that is both evidence-based and contemporary in practice. The program aims to address barriers to ensure equal access to sexual assault services for victim/survivors with disabilities, particularly those with complex communication needs or cognitive impairment.
The successful candidate will have professional experience working with victim survivors of sexual assault and family violence, as well as people living with a disability. They will be able to work effectively with a wide range of key stakeholders, consumers, and staff.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the social model of disability and the importance of inclusivity in service delivery. They will be able to provide advice, support, and guidance in care team meetings and work in partnership with consumer advocates to ensure the opinions and voices of victim/survivors with a disability are at the forefront of service planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the Making Rights Reality Program across all SECASA sites
- Providing advice, support, and guidance in care team meetings
- Working in partnership with consumer advocates to ensure inclusivity in service delivery
- Developing and delivering community education, training, and professional development sessions
- Supervising students and staff as required
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a related field and be registered with the relevant professional body. They will also have a minimum of 7 years' experience as a qualified Social Worker or Occupational Therapist.
