Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Access Consultant to join our team and contribute to creating inclusive environments that meet the needs of all users. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant access and mobility standards, along with the ability to conduct thorough assessments and provide expert advice on accessibility compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct access audits and assessments of buildings, facilities, and public spaces.
  • Interpret and apply the NCC and other applicable standards to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for improving accessibility.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and project teams to integrate inclusive design principles.
  • Use access assessment tools and software to support evaluations and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation, standards, and best practices in access consulting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of the NCC and applicable access and mobility standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using access assessment tools and software.
  • Diploma in Access Consulting or similar qualifications (essential).
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in access consulting.
