
Inclusive Accessibility Specialist

The National Disability Inclusion Participation Lead plays a key role in ensuring that Australian football participation programs are inclusive and accessible. This position provides strategic leadership and direction to the national participation workforce, driving growth and accessibility for people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement initiatives to increase participation and accessibility for people with disabilities across various programs including community, Auskick, Superkick, Nines, and Schools initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of effective strategies to engage and connect with people with disabilities, delivering tailored programs and competitions.
- Establish relationships and partnerships with departments and external partners to support program delivery and growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop modified versions of AFL games and resources catering to individuals with diverse disabilities.
- Oversee and support the delivery of national and state disability inclusion competitions and events, promoting diversity and inclusivity.
- Develop comprehensive plans to enhance the capability of staff to deliver programs for people with disabilities, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge and experience of working with people with disabilities, including ability to develop and modify sports to remove barriers to participation and ensure equal opportunities.
- Experience in partnering with and influencing diverse stakeholders, including event management skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Valid Working with Children Check is essential for this role.
