Hotel Housekeeper Job Description

The role of a hotel housekeeper involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities within the hotel. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting daily cleaning tasks in guest rooms and public areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Changing bed linens, making beds, and replenishing towels and toiletries to maintain a comfortable environment for guests.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of bathrooms, bedrooms, and corridors, including disposing of waste and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly to prevent accidents or further damage.
  • Following health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment and prevent the spread of illnesses.
  • Supporting the smooth operation of the housekeeping department by working collaboratively with colleagues and adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
