Legal Counsel

AECOM is seeking an experienced Contract Law Specialist to join our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Legal Team based in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate AECOM's project contracts, including consultancy services agreements, alliance, tender services, SaaS, PM, and EPCM agreements, and related ancillary documentation.
- Providing Legal Advice: Provide ad-hoc legal advice regarding AECOM's project pursuits, including bid qualification and departure statements, probity and procurement, deal structuring, conflicts management, and other collateral matters arising in connection with its varied business transactions.
- Managing Claims and Disputes: Manage claims and disputes, including judicial and administrative litigation, and drafting or settling internal and external communications with law firms, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in law, admission to practice in Victoria, and up to 4 years post-admission experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house experience in a multinational consultant or contractor will be viewed favorably.
- Skills: Demonstrated track record of adding value to a diverse and dynamic business, outstanding verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, and alignment with AECOM's strategic vision of delivering a better world by embracing its key ESG principles.
