Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and guidance to the Commissioner, the Executive Leadership Team, and staff on a diverse range of legal issues, including contract negotiation and drafting, administrative law advice, responses to litigation, insurance, workplace relations, intellectual property, Freedom of Information, and delegations matters.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of legal work, including the management of external legal advisors.
- Lead a small team of legal, procurement, and quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of our services.
- Contribute to the development of our organisational policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with our values and legislative requirements.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience as a lawyer, with a strong background in in-house or government practice.
