Job Description

As a Senior Mechanic Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Workshop Technicians to meet, deliver, and exceed service expectations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving efficiency within the team to meet tight deadlines while ensuring employees comply with all WHS responsibilities and that a safety-first culture is a consistent behaviour within the department
  • Liaising with technical support staff and coordinating diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work
  • Maintaining work schedules to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources
  • Being responsible for the day-to-day activities of workshop personnel and ensuring labour is used effectively
  • Liaising with stakeholders pertaining to machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience leading a team to achieve and exceed set goals
  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) diesel or mobile plant trade qualifications
  • A safety-first mindset - ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed, and driven from within
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long-term relationships
  • The ability to navigate complex technical issues to deliver high-quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework
