About this Role

Key duties for a Systems Support Specialist include providing assistance with development, introduction to service, sustainment, and enhancement of mission planning software and hardware.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and configuration of servers, networking equipment, and laptops used in mission planning environments.
  • Implementing and configuring software applications to meet business requirements.
  • Ensuring the availability and integrity of critical systems and data.
  • Providing technical support for Defence strategic networks.
  • Participating in security accreditation processes for sensitive systems.
  • Identifying and managing risks associated with technical projects, contributing to program documentation and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in ICT environments, with skills in areas such as MS Windows administration, client operating system management, software scripting, configuration control, and Office applications.
  • Understanding of Defence ICT security protocols and accreditation standards.
