About The Role

This is a permanent full-time role; candidates must possess and maintain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or ServSafe Certification.

As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee the safe, effective, and efficient functioning of the restaurant under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager. You will prioritize guest satisfaction, ensuring outstanding Quality, Service, and Cleanliness through your team. You will manage a Business Portfolio (business system) to drive excellent business outcomes while fostering a culture of inclusivity aligned with our core values: Growth Mindset, People Power, 100% Guest Obsessed, Stronger Together, Make a Difference.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Ensuring Safety Leadership
  1. Oversee daily operations with an emphasis on safe work practices that comply with local regulations and Hungry Jack's standards.
  2. Enforce safety and security protocols.
Fostering a Guest-Centric Culture
  1. Recruit, train, and supervise your team to deliver exceptional guest service consistently, demonstrating a 'guest obsession'.
  2. Assess employee performance, manage promotions, handle disciplinary matters, and address employee grievances appropriately.
  3. Guarantee that guests receive prompt service and high-quality food.
  4. Implement the National Marketing Plan during your shifts to ensure guests enjoy a consistent experience on every visit (correct pricing, marketing materials displayed accurately).
  5. Address guest inquiries and feedback regarding products and services, providing suitable corrective actions or escalations to ensure guest satisfaction.
  6. Manage (during your shifts) National incentive programs aimed at enhancing the guest experience.
Enhancing Brand Presence (Business Planning)
  1. Utilize your Business Priority Plan to continuously elevate your Restaurant's performance.
  2. Regularly review business outcomes and communicate them to your team, implementing clear action plans for improvement.
  3. Engage in community initiatives in your local area to enhance visibility and cultivate brand loyalty.
Leading a High-Performing Team
  1. Establish a culture that emphasizes growth, trust, and accountability.
  2. Build your Restaurant Team to ensure effective shift coverage with skilled and efficient employees.
  3. Develop and maintain a succession plan that engages and retains your internal talent pipeline.
  4. Collaborate with your Training Coach to execute the Restaurant's Training Plan.
Managing Business Performance (Profit and Controllables)
  1. Accurately forecast sales to ensure staffing and inventory align with our guest obsession.
  2. Plan and prepare work schedules, assigning employees to specific roles.
  3. Manage controllables (own portfolio) to meet profit objectives.
  4. Conduct regular inventory audits, maintain stock records, and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  5. Order inventory based on sales projections.
Skills / Experience

AQF Certificate II or III or a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Requirements
