Claims Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing claims and providing exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of personal injury claims for small, medium, and large employers in NSW.
  • Accurately review and assess claims on behalf of icare, ensuring injured workers receive their correct entitlements.
  • Clear and concise communication with all stakeholders.
  • Manage workflow to ensure that all activities are completed within applicable timeframes.
  • Proactively collaborate with internal support and external stakeholders to ensure proactive case management.
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service through compliance with legislation, timely response times, and efficiency in processing.
Requirements:
  • Strong team player with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills in a high-volume work environment.
  • Strong analytical or quality assurance focus.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for customers.
  • Proven ability to build rapport with customers and key partners.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and respond by developing appropriate actions.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing workers' compensation or personal injury claims is highly regarded.
  • Allied health experience is highly regarded.
