Human Resources Business Partner - St Basil's NSW/ACT

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our People, Engagement and Culture team at St Basil's NSW/ACT. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our business and volunteers, working closely with the wider PEC team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Develop and maintain a database of volunteers, ensuring accurate records of volunteer availability and attendance
    • Sourcing volunteers, conducting interviews, and managing their onboarding experience
    • Inducting and facilitating orientation programs
    • Supporting the team with managing the end-to-end recruitment and selection process
  • Volunteers Leadership:
    • Acting as the key point of contact for volunteers, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their engagement
    • Monitor and ensure mandatory L&D training is completed by our volunteers and staff
    • Supporting and organizing recognition events
  • Supporting our Business:
    • Build an open and effective two-way communication with managers, staff, and volunteers to effectively respond to HR matters
    • Provide HR advice and information to all levels of the organization on employment-related matters, processes, and procedures
    • Attend site staff meetings to provide PEC support as required
    • Working closely with the internal marketing team to identify and promote volunteer opportunities
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices by participating in relevant training
    • Support sites with culture events
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to volunteer engagement and management
    • Maintain accurate records, performing integrity checks, and promptly addressing compliance queries
    • Accurate and timely collation of data for metrics for monthly board reporting
    • Monitor and ensure mandatory L&D training is completed
