Senior Leadership Role: Regulatory Intelligence Expert

The Assistant Director, Regulatory Intelligence plays a pivotal role in overseeing the development and coordination of high-quality intelligence and analysis to inform strategic planning and operations.

This senior leadership position leads a team responsible for providing intelligence and analysis to support regulatory activities, including developing effective communication systems to ensure stakeholders are consulted and informed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and direction to the team, ensuring alignment with statutory responsibilities and the organization's strategic direction.
  • Regulatory Intelligence Development: Lead the successful development of regulatory intelligence capabilities and products to support regulatory activity.
  • High-Level Analysis: Provide expert-level intelligence analysis on complex issues, identifying opportunities and strategies to address contentious, long-term, and emergent challenges.
  • Communication Systems: Establish and implement effective communication systems to ensure stakeholders are consulted and information is disseminated as required.
  • Briefings and Documentation: Deliver clear and concise briefings and documentation to communicate findings of analysis and influence executive decision-making.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong experience in engaging with stakeholders on sensitive and difficult issues.
  • Research and Analysis: Excellent research, conceptual thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand and clearly communicate complex analytical findings.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the capability to self-manage multiple competing priorities while working under tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Data and Intelligence Literacy: Strong data and regulatory intelligence literacy and reporting skills, including structured analytical techniques.
  • Regulatory Understanding: Understanding of the role of data, intelligence, and information in modern regulatory agencies.
