We are seeking a skilled Case Worker to join our dedicated Welfare and Engagement Team. As an integral member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality services and support to individuals in immigration detention facilities.
The successful candidate will have experience in delivering case management, counselling, or similar support services for vulnerable adults or families. You will possess strong negotiation, influencing, and motivational skills, as well as leadership, organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.
You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence and ensure the satisfaction of all stakeholders, including individuals in detention.
">Required Skills and Qualifications">- Qualifications to at least diploma or bachelor's degree in Social Work, Case Management, Psychology, Counselling, Social Sciences, Behavioural Science, Community Services or similar human services field
- Minimum of 2 years' (full time equivalent) experience in delivering case management, counselling or similar support for vulnerable adults or families (highly desirable)
- Experience in effective assessment and individualised case planning and coordination ideally with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds as well as people who may have had recent experience in the criminal justice system (highly desirable)
- Experience working in a trauma-informed manner to support people experiencing complex health and mental health challenges
- Well-developed negotiation, influencing and motivational skills
- Strong leadership, organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
- Maintain a current Working with Children Certificate in accordance with the relevant state or territory child protection legislation
- Hold and maintain HLTAID009 Provide CPR and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificates with at least 6 months of currency on the certificate
- Unrestricted current Drivers Licence
