Deliverability Strategist Job Description

A Deliverability Strategist plays a critical role in ensuring a high-quality sending experience for our clients. This expert guide provides deep deliverability knowledge and expert guidance to help businesses achieve their marketing goals.

Strategists work closely with clients to understand their marketing strategies and messaging goals, building strategic roadmaps and supporting both client and internal teams in achieving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of clients with professionalism and accountability.
  • Develop proactive deliverability strategies based on industry trends and best practices.
  • Conduct regular deliverability audits and performance reviews, linking findings to business impact with clear recommendations.
  • Support clients in resolving issues such as blocklisting or inboxing challenges, framing solutions in business terms.
  • Monitor delivery metrics, create data-driven plans, and communicate results in a structured format.
  • Quantify improvements in deliverability performance through consistent analysis and reporting.
  • Handle technical objections with clarity, connecting solutions to client business goals.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships across the portfolio, aligning with shared strategic goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to demonstrate how improved deliverability strategies impact opens, clicks, and revenue.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present confidently to stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of global email laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a data-driven email deliverability role.
  • Experience managing an enterprise-level portfolio at an ESP serving enterprise-level senders.
