About the Role
As a Technical Support Officer Trade Waste at SA Water, you will play a critical role in providing high-value technical advice and implementing operational improvement strategies to optimize the performance of Trade Waste and Networks.
This is a dynamic role that requires you to be out in the field, working closely with stakeholders to identify and implement strategies to optimize operations. You will be responsible for:
- Collecting and analyzing trade waste data to inform operational performance and targets review
- Maintaining databases containing trade waste data to support operational performance and targets review
- Leading investigations and field trials to identify strategies to optimize operations
- Investigating the impact of trade waste discharge on SA Water's network and treatment assets
- Effective communication and knowledge sharing with key stakeholder groups
- Regularly reviewing process performance data and reporting findings
In addition, you will be responsible for:
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a Science or Engineering based discipline or relevant demonstrated experience
- Ability to establish and maintain sound interpersonal relationships with personnel at all levels
- Ability to influence and impart knowledge to others, including trade waste team members, key account managers, and customers
- Ability to work as part of a performance-focused team
- High level of competency in Excel, Maximo, and SCADA, and ability to learn and adapt to new applications
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience with technologies and practices for trade waste management, wastewater networks, and wastewater treatment
- Ability to interpret the results of various laboratory analysis and other plant data to exercise initiative in implementing corrective procedures when necessary
- Planning, execution, and reporting of investigations in trade waste management, wastewater networks, and wastewater treatment
